Dr. Janis Hammer, Associate Director
Dr. Hammer is a practicing veterinarian and co-founder of the Animal Behavior Institute. She has long been a staunch advocate of animal assisted therapy, serving as Director of Animal Assisted Therapy & Activities at DVC and as a trainer and evaluator for the Delta Society.
Prior to founding the Animal Behavior Institute, Dr. Hammer was a university professor and worked in the biomedical field and in laboratory animal science. In addition to teaching, she currently practices small animal medicine at her clinic in Oregon.
