The review and approval processes ensure that an institution
meets recognized standards. An approval agency is an independent body charged
with objectively determining whether an organization meets these professional
standards. Approval communicates to the public that an institution has met
accepted standards and assures prospective students that the courses and
programs offered are of high quality.
