What is Accreditation?

Accreditation is process of quality assurance that schools undergo to confirm that they meet a strict set of educational and operational standards. The rigorous review process ensures that institutions meet or exceed these standards. Note that many career schools are not accredited; it is not legally required.
 

Why is it Important?

Accreditation creates a set of quality standards for all educational institutions; it ensures accountability.  Prospective students can be assured that courses and programs at the school are of high quality.

Accreditation at the Animal Behavior Institute

The Animal Behavior Institute complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, The Animal Behavior Institute is authorized to issue the IACET CEU. 

 

IACET accreditation applies only to continuing education. This approval is not equivalent to the accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for degree-granting institutions.

Hundreds of companies, regulatory boards and associations (directory of organizations). These organizations are committed to ongoing professional development and recognize the value of our accredited programs.

Distance Education Accrediting Council 

The Distance Education Accrediting Council has recognized the Animal Behavior Institute as an Approved Provider after completing the Approved Quality Curriculum review process. AQC approval has been granted to all courses in the Canine Training & Behavior certificate program. Please note that this approval is not accreditation.

The Animal Behavior Institute is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau, a business organization that affirms that our institution meets and abides by the Code of Business Practices. ABI enjoys an A+ rating, the highest rating available.
