You can be confident about pursuing your education with the Animal Behavior Institute. Our programs enjoy widespread recognition and acceptance at other institutions. Hundreds of professional associations accept our continuing education credits thanks to our Accredited Provider status with the International Association for Continuing Education. Furthermore, many of our courses are accepted directly as CEU credits via our relationships with the American Association of Veterinary State Boards, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, among other institutions.  Please see the listings below for more information.

American Association for Laboratory Animal Science
Many courses satisfy AALAS (American Association for Laboratory Animal Science) standards and requirements and provide continuing education credits for eligible laboratory animal science professionals. Contact AALAS directly to determine the courses in your program that qualify for CEU credit.

American Association of Veterinary State Boards
Selected courses are pre-approved for use as continuing education credits for veterinarians and veterinary technicians by The American Association of Veterinary State Boards' Registry of Approved Continuing Education (ABI provider number = 238). Each approved course meets the requirements for 10 hours of continuing education credit in all jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB's RACE approval.

Association of Zoos & Aquariums

The Animal Behavior Institute is proud to be an Official Learning Partner of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA). Our two organizations share a common mission to provide professional, high quality training in zoo science. Many of the courses offered by the Animal Behavior Institute can be used for dual credit. These courses are applied to your ABI certificate requirements; the credits can also be used towards select Professional Development certificates with the Association of Zoos & Professionals.
